Cabarita Beach, NSW
 – Halcyon House, Australia's pioneering design-led boutique hotel, has joined an exclusive collection of global hospitality icons after being awarded Condé Nast Traveller's inaugural Triple Crown — becoming one of only a select few Australian hotels to achieve the distinction.

Widely regarded as one of the world's most influential voices in luxury travel, Condé Nast Traveller introduced the Triple Crown to celebrate hotels that have achieved all three of the publication's highest honours: the Hot List, the Gold List and the Readers' Choice Awards.

Unlike annual accolades that recognise a single moment in time, the Triple Crown acknowledges sustained excellence. The Hot List honours the world's most exciting hotel openings, the Gold List reflects Condé Nast Traveller editors' favourite hotels globally, and the Readers' Choice Awards are determined by the publication's international readership. Together, they represent one of the industry's most comprehensive measures of enduring success.

Since opening in 2015, Halcyon House has become one of Australia's most distinctive luxury hotels, transforming a former surf motel into an internationally celebrated destination that helped redefine coastal hospitality in Australia. More than a decade later, the hotel continues to attract guests from around the world with its memorable design, highly personalised service and authentic connection to the Northern Rivers.

The recognition is also a testament to the vision of owners Elisha and Siobhan Bickle, whose bold reimagining of the beachfront property established a new benchmark for Australian boutique hotels. The Bickles created a hotel that challenged convention and introduced a more colourful, character-filled approach to boutique hospitality in Australia — one that continues to resonate with guests and industry leaders alike.

"What makes the Triple Crown so meaningful is that it isn't recognition for a single year or a single achievement — it's recognition for consistency over time," said Magnus Hojden, General Manager of Halcyon House.

"To still be resonating with Condé Nast Traveller's editors and readers more than a decade after opening is incredibly special. Halcyon House has always been about creating a hotel with a genuine sense of personality and place. As a hotel, we've focused on delivering exceptional experiences and heartfelt hospitality that keeps guests coming back.

"This recognition reflects the vision Elisha and Siobhan brought to Halcyon House from the very beginning, and the extraordinary team that brings that vision to life every day. To be recognised alongside some of the world's most celebrated hotels is an incredible honour and a testament to everyone who has contributed to the Halcyon House story over the past decade."

Designed by acclaimed interior designer Anna Spiro, Halcyon House quickly established itself as a benchmark for Australian boutique hotels, distinguished by its eclectic interiors and unmistakable sense of place. Home to the award-winning Paper Daisy restaurant, led by Executive Chef Baxter Newstead, and set against the backdrop of Cabarita Beach, the property remains one of Australia's most recognisable independent hotels and one of the Northern Rivers' most celebrated destinations.

The Triple Crown places Halcyon House among a rare group of hotels that have earned the endorsement of both Condé Nast Traveller's editors and readers — reinforcing its position as one of Australia's most enduring luxury hospitality success stories.
