FPT and C.P exchanged a strategic cooperation agreement, witnessed by the Kingdom of Thailand’s Prime Minister H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, advancing AI-led collaboration for sustainable agri-food value chains.

Held on June 8, 2026, in Hanoi, the Strategic Partnership Kick-off Ceremony was witnessed by Thailand’s Prime Minister H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, underscoring the strengthening technology partnership between Thailand and Vietnam and a shared commitment to innovation-led economic development.

The initiatives will introduce practical AI applications across businesses and functions to enhance productivity, optimize operations, and support long-term sustainable growth across the agri-food value chain.

As part of the program, the two organizations will jointly implement six priority initiatives, including AI training for employees, disease consultation systems for livestock farmers, intelligent camera solutions for farm operation monitoring, image-based raw material quality inspection, digital feed-mixing prescription management, and sales management solutions for dealer networks. These use cases will be deployed through a two-phase roadmap starting with data and technology foundations before scaling proven applications across operations.

To support implementation, FPT applies the company’s AI-first approach, anchored by its end-to-end AI platform FleziPT, a global network of over 30,000 AI-augmented engineers, AI Factories in Vietnam and Japan, and partnerships with leading global AI companies. This ecosystem is further strengthened by FPT CASAN, a five-level AI transformation framework, including Curious, Augmented, Standard, Automatic, and Native, which enables enterprises to move from fragmented AI pilots to structured, enterprise-wide adoption with measurable outcomes.

“As agriculture continues to evolve through digital transformation, AI plays a central role in enabling more connected, predictive, and autonomous operations across the value chain. Leveraging our AI native capabilities, proven by the FPT CASAN framework, alongside AI-augmented workforce, FPT is committed to partnering with CP to build and execute a clear transformation roadmap, from initial exploration to embedding AI as a core organizational capability. Through this collaboration, we aim to integrate AI into key agricultural processes, enhancing productivity, improving decision-making, and driving sustainable growth at scale across Thailand, Vietnam, and beyond," said Levi Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan, FPT Corporation.

“This partnership between CP and FPT demonstrates how combining the strengths of two organizations can create tangible value. By leveraging AI and digital transformation across C.P. Vietnam’s integrated Feed – Farm – Food value chain, from farm to family, we aim to enhance productivity, strengthen food safety, and improve people’s quality of life.

New research suggests giant kelp could inspire innovative climate solutions

New research reveals the microscopic machinery that helps giant kelp turn sunlight into energy, providing inspiration for innovative new climate solutions. The study, published in Nature Communications, mapped one of the tiny antenna-like structures kelp uses for photosynthesis. Their unique architecture may hold the key as to why kelp are the most efficient ocean organism at catching light and removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. While land plants and many marine organisms are well-studied, the inner workings of kelp’s photosynthesis machinery have remained mysterious. This research shows the molecular arrangement of kelp cellular machinery for the first time. Lead researcher…

COP31 electrification push a welcome first step by Presidency, but insufficient without ending fossil fuels: Greenpeace

Bonn, Germany, Tuesday 9 June 2026 — Greenpeace has welcomed the COP31 Presidency’s electrification initiative — a 35% by 2035 target as part of the Action Agenda launch — as a positive step forward, but said it must be coupled with a rapid phase out of fossil fuels as part of a just transition to renewable energy to keep the 1.5°C limit within reach. While electrifying households, industry and other major sectors with renewable energy is a key component of ending fossil fuel use, a focus alone on growing renewables and expanding electrification will not be enough without a managed,…

Until then, it remains rhetoric without any results. Minister Bowen emphasised the electrification agenda and renewable energies, but in a challenging geopolitical environment more clearly…
