Australian women from the Flotilla to Gaza who report being beaten, sexually assaulted and abused by Israeli forces will gather in Canberra tomorrow to ask a simple question: Why won't the Prime Minister hear them?

Neve O'Connor, Anny Mokotow, Isla Lamont, Juliet Lamont, Dr Bianca Pullman-Webb, Gemma O'Toole, Violet Coco and Helen O'Sullivan allege abuse by Israeli forces in four days of detention including sexual assault, being injected with an unknown substance, beating resulting in broken bones, being denied water and food, forced in stress positions.

The women have provided accounts to lawyers, undergone medical examinations and continue to pursue justice and accountability.

Evidence from the Australian delegation has been submitted to the International Criminal Court or ICC. 

Despite repeated requests, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has refused to meet with the survivors or publicly condemn Israel's treatment of Australian humanitarian volunteers sailing with the Global Sumud Flotilla and Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Nor has the treatment of Palestinian civilians been consistently condemned.
