Who: More than 90 locals participating on the day. People who have been impacted by dementia, their family, friends and carers.

  

Where: Back Beach, Bunbury, next to the City of Bunbury Surf Club

Public pressure forces Albanese Government to walk back bulk billing consent changes

The Federal Government has reversed course on controversial changes to Medicare bulk billing consent requirements, announcing a 12-month transition period and a series of concessions, after sustained pressure from GPs, peak bodies including the Australian Medical Association and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and Dr Monique Ryan. The 2026 Perth Memory Walk & Jog is fast approaching, with the much-anticipated event taking place this weekend on Sunday 21 June at Burswood Park.
