Juliet Lamont on Being Abused By Israel: “I thought my number was up.” Australian humanitarian says she was tortured.

Global Sumud Flotilla Australian Delegation < 1 min read
Australian filmmaker Juliet Lamont is available for interview after returning from the Global Sumud Flotilla mission to Gaza.

Juliet says she was subjected to torture, severe beatings and sexual violence while in Israeli custody after attempting to deliver food, medicine and baby formula to starving children in Gaza.

"They knew my name when they dragged me onto the deck. I was cable tied. My hands and ankles were shackled. They put so much water over my face I couldn't breathe. Every time I tried to get away from the water, they'd slap me again. I thought my number was up."

Juliet travelled on the mission alongside her daughter Isla.

Her account comes as Israeli armed forces are blacklisted by the United Nations for conflict-related sexual violence and authorities face growing international scrutiny over the treatment of detainees and as evidence from flotilla participants is being taken to the International Criminal Court in the Hague.

The objectives of the Australian delegation are:

1. Albanese to meet with Flotilla Survivors of Israeli violence and sexual assault

2. Expel The Israeli Ambassador for misleading or wilfully lying to Australians

3. Immediately stop all military trade and cooperation with Israel

Juliet is available today for radio, television and print interviews.

A landmark new study published by one of world’s most elite scientific journals, Nature - Journal of Perinatology, has demonstrated that rising US cannabis use is causally responsible for exponential increases in a birth defect commonly called ‘hole in the heart’ or Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), where US rates that measured 10.3 cases for every 10,000 births in 2005 have moved amongst certain ethnicities to as high as 884/10,000 in Nevada and Mississippi in 2020, or about 1 in 11 babies affected. The study used careful statistical adjustments to show that the effect was truly causal. The findings are even…
