Site Safety and Health Representatives from across Queensland's coal industry will gather in Rockhampton today for the opening of the 2026 SSHR Conference.
The conference will focus on strengthening mine safety outcomes, sharing lessons from serious incidents, and discussing growing concerns about proposed changes to Queensland's resources safety framework.
The conference comes at a critical time for mine safety in Queensland.
