Avgidea Brings Local AI to Australian Businesses with Greenative Studio for Mac

Avgidea, Inc. 4 mins read
Key Facts:
  • Avgidea, Inc. has launched Greenative Studio, a macOS desktop app that allows businesses to run AI workflows entirely on their own Apple Silicon Macs, keeping sensitive data, documents, and fine-tuning models local rather than sending them to cloud AI services.
  • The app supports open large language models such as Gemma, Phi, and Mistral-based models, and includes capabilities such as local file search and summarisation, PDF-to-PPTX conversion, natural language database processing, and local fine-tuning using the user's own data.
  • Greenative Studio focuses on curated models released under permissive open-source licences, such as Apache License 2.0 and MIT License, helping businesses assess commercial-use expectations with greater clarity.
  • The product is positioned as a privacy-conscious alternative for Australian organisations navigating data sovereignty concerns and ongoing reforms to Australia's privacy regime, offering a local-first approach by default with no data sent externally unless explicitly configured.
  • Greenative Studio is priced at US$18 per month or US$180 per year with fixed monthly pricing and no per-token usage charges, and is available now with a free trial via the Avgidea website.

New macOS app lets teams run AI workflows entirely on their own machines — keeping business data private, with fixed monthly pricing and no per-token charges

Tokyo, Japan — July 30, 2026 — Avgidea, Inc., a Japan-based developer of data and AI platforms, today announced that Greenative Studio, a macOS desktop app for running AI workflows locally, is now available to businesses in Australia.

As Australian organisations adopt generative AI, many remain cautious about sending sensitive business data, customer information, internal documents, or proprietary know-how to cloud AI services. With growing attention on data sovereignty and the ongoing reform of Australia's privacy regime, more teams are asking a simple question: does this workflow really need to leave our machines?

Greenative Studio was developed to give those teams another option: a private AI workbench running workflows locally on their own Macs, with stronger control over where prompts, files, model outputs, and fine-tuning data are processed.

Greenative Studio allows users to download and manage open large language models, such as Gemma, Phi, and Mistral-based models, from a desktop console and use them for local LLM workflows. By default, prompts, responses, local files, and fine-tuning data are processed on the user's Mac and are not sent to cloud AI services unless external tools, APIs, databases, or MCP servers are explicitly configured.

“We believe not every AI workflow belongs in the cloud,” said Teppei Yagihashi, founder of Avgidea. “Business documents, client files, and internal data deserve an option that keeps them on your own machine — without giving up modern AI capabilities. Greenative Studio is our first step toward making local AI practical for real business use, especially for teams that care about data privacy, predictable costs, and control over their environment.”

Key capabilities of Greenative Studio include:

  • Local LLM chat with open models on Mac

  • Searching, extracting, and summarising information from local files

  • PDF-to-PPTX conversion workflows

  • Natural language data processing for configured databases

  • Local fine-tuning using the user's own data

  • MCP integration for extending local AI workflows

  • Curated model support focused on commercially usable models

  • Fixed monthly pricing without per-token usage charges

Greenative Studio is designed with a local-first approach. Prompts, files, local workflows, and fine-tuning data do not need to be sent to cloud AI services. Fine-tuned model artefacts can also remain on the user's Mac, helping reduce the risk of exposing not only source data, but also the models created from that data.

The product focuses on curated models released under permissive open-source licences (e.g. Apache License 2.0, MIT License), helping businesses evaluate local AI workflows with clearer commercial-use expectations.

For teams that need to extend local AI workflows beyond an individual desktop, Greenative Studio can also connect to Greenative Platform through greenative.mcp, an MCP server that bridges local AI and business data. Greenative Platform provides access to databases, cloud storage, and internal systems, and is available as a SaaS service or as dedicated customer-specific deployments for organisations with stricter isolation or governance requirements.

Potential use cases include working with sensitive internal documents, analysing structured business data, converting business documents into presentation materials, creating workflow-specific local models, and supporting teams that require stronger control over where AI processing takes place.

Pricing and availability

Greenative Studio is available now for Apple Silicon Macs. The Pro plan is priced at US$18 per month (approx. AU$28) or US$180 per year, with a free trial available from the product website. Pricing is fixed — local workflows do not incur per-token usage charges.
