The Mining and Energy Union will address media ahead of appearing at the Independent Planning Commission public hearing into the Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) Continuation Project.
MEU District President Robin Williams and HVO worker and MEU Lodge President Rebecca McDonald will be available to discuss the importance of the project for workers, the Hunter economy and the region's future.
The speakers will outline why the Union believes the project should be approved, highlighting the jobs it supports, the benefits it delivers to local communities, and the importance of a well-managed transition for the Hunter.
