Festival of Nursing celebrates the vital role of nurses in shaping health care
Melbourne, July 30 – August 1 – Nurses from across Australia are gathering in Melbourne for the Festival of Nursing 2026, a celebration of the people, ideas and innovations shaping the future of health care. Over 700 attendees will hear from influential nurses and health leaders driving change in practice, policy and care, while choosing from a diverse program of workshops, keynote presentations and interactive experiences.
The Festival of Nursing celebrates the extraordinary contribution of nurses and midwives to the health and wellbeing of our communities. Bringing together nurses at every stage of their career, the event showcases the diversity, leadership and impact of the profession, from frontline care and community health to research, education and advocacy.
Stephen Duns, CEO of the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association said the festival provides an opportunity to recognise the dedication and expertise of nurses while inspiring the next generation of health professionals.
