IPSWICH HUB OPENS TO VETERANS AND FAMILIES OF VETERANS
One of Australia’s biggest defence and veteran communities will benefit from tailored support closer to home with today’s opening of a Veterans’ and Families’ Hub in Ipswich.
The opening is the latest instalment of the Albanese Government’s more than $50 million commitment to delivering ten new Veterans and Families’ Hubs across the country.
Growing the Hub network is an important part of our work to better support the wellbeing of the veteran community.
More than 10,000 veterans and family members, and 5,000 serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel call the Ipswich region home.
Operated by RSL Queensland, the Ipswich Hub will be co-located with Mates4Mates at 260 Brisbane Street, West Ipswich, close to RAAF Base Amberley.
Hub services will include mental and physical health services, wellbeing support, advocacy, employment and housing advice, and social connection.
Co-designed with the local veteran community to meet their needs, the Hub will deliver a multidisciplinary, holistic facility offering a “no wrong door” approach to support, so veterans and families of veterans receive access to the right care at the right time.
The recently launched Veteran and Family Wellbeing Agency is working alongside Hubs, partnering with them to connect people to the right local services.

Hubs enhance access for current and former ADF members, veterans and families to a range of local, state, and national services and support. They are a key resource in assisting ADF members and families as they transition from military to civilian life.
