Public Sector Network Acquires Intermedium, Bringing Together Intelligence and Engagement Across the Government Sector

Public Sector Network Group has acquired Intermedium, bringing together two of the most recognised names serving the ANZ government sector.

The acquisition brings together two organisations with deep roots in the government sector, each serving it from a different angle: Public Sector Network through relationships, events, and peer connection; Intermedium through ongoing analysis of government policies, contracts, tenders, and budgets.

Intermedium continues as an independent business under its own brand. Existing clients on both sides will see no disruption while the two companies build a comprehensive and connected offering, that brings together market intelligence, direct engagement, and strategic advisory in a single relationship.

Quotes

Ross Ashman, CEO, Public Sector Network Group:

"Public sector leaders deserve private sector partners who have done their homework. This acquisition means vendors come to the table better informed, and government gets more relevant, better prepared industry partners. That is better for procurement, better for outcomes, and better for the relationship between the two sectors."

Judy Hurditch, Managing Director, Intermedium:

"Intermedium was built on the belief that better conversations between industry and government start with better information. That mission doesn't change. What changes is the scale at which we can pursue it. The result is something our sector has not had before: a single group with the intelligence to know where government is heading and the relationships to matter when it gets there."

Albert Kruger, General Manager ANZ, PSN Group:

"The ANZ government sector is one of the most active and competitive markets in the world. Suppliers need more than a presence here. They need to understand it, and they need to be trusted within it. That is exactly what this combination makes possible."

More than 100 cases already on the books for the new national EPA

As the new National Environment Protection Agency (NEPA) begins its work from today, the Australian Conservation Foundation has urged it to use its powers and enforce the rules. “It’s a landmark day as Australia’s long-awaited Environment Protection Agency opens its doors,” said ACF nature campaigner Darcie Carruthers. “We know the NEPA has at least 107 open cases on its desk. “These cases relate to bulldozing that could have significant impacts on protected species, like koalas and pink cockatoos. They should have been referred for assessment under Australia’s nature protection law, the EPBC Act, but weren’t. “In February, Murray Watt’s department…

National Mental Health Commission and SANE Australia

Major national study shows increased mental health awareness not translated to improved behaviours or attitudes.

Increased awareness of mental health has not translated into better community attitudes, reinforcing exclusion, inequity and poorer health outcomes. Workplaces identified as a major source of discrimination, while stigma in personal relationships and from medical providers was also widespread. Discrimination when accessing housing and welfare had…
