Tell us what gets you out the door: Have your say on North Sydney’s events

North Sydney Council < 1 min read

Street festivals, markets, cultural celebrations, free concerts and New Years Eve on the harbour.

North Sydney Council is committed to ensuring our events program continues to meet the needs and interests of the community and is inviting residents, workers, visitors and event attendees to complete a five-minute survey and share their ideas for the future.

North Sydney Council's events play an important role in bringing people together, celebrating local culture, supporting local businesses and creating vibrant public spaces. The survey asks participants what they enjoy about Council's current events, what could be improved, what may be missing from the program and what types of events they would like to see more of in the future.

Feedback will help inform future event planning and programming, ensuring Council's events continue to reflect the diverse interests of the North Sydney community.

As part of this process, Council has engaged Sharpe Advisory and the Astrolabe Group to undertake an independent review of its events program. The review will assess how Council's events bring the community together, celebrate local culture, support local businesses and contribute to North Sydney's identity, while identifying opportunities to strengthen the program into the future.

The survey takes around five minutes to complete and Council is encouraging everyone to have their say.

Feedback closes on 24 July 2026.

Still rebuilding after floods, Tweed Shire the latest council to call on big polluters to pay for climate damage

July 17 Tweed Shire Council has unanimously passed a motion calling for a National Climate Compensation Fund, to support a safer and more resilient community in the face of worsening extreme weather fuelled by pollution.
