Challenger Gold raises A$85m raise to strengthen Hualilán’s pathway

Challenger Gold Limited (ASX: CEL) today confirmed Hualilán remains a robust, strategic gold development asset following an operational review, reinforcing the case for an integrated mine and processing pathway at its 100%-owned San Juan Province project in Argentina.

The Company has secured A$85 million in equity funding, anchored by incoming Non-Executive Chairman Peter Marrone, to support drilling, feasibility work and development preparation. The raise accompanies a strengthened leadership team, including Yohann Bouchard as COO, Felipe Riquelme as CFO and Luke Buchanan as VP Project and Strategic Planning.

Challenger has also begun its first exploration drilling at Hualilán in over three years, targeting extensions to the 2.8Moz AuEq resource and geotechnical data for the proposed Phase 1 Heap Leach project.

The Company is progressing feasibility, permitting and financing, targeting construction from 2027 and production in early 2029.
