Queenslanders dominate four of the top five placings in Adelaide as PBR Australia looks to CABOOLTURE THIS SATURDAY
Queensland cowboy Zane Hall delivered the only perfect performance of the night to win the PBR Monster Energy Adelaide Invitational in front of a roaring, sold-out crowd on Saturday night.
The Athol bull rider was the only cowboy to go two-for-two across the event, covering Booga Wooga for 84.20 points in Round 1 before producing an 84.80-point ride aboard Kinky Ninja in the Championship Round. His faultless 169-point aggregate secured the Adelaide title, 254 national points and a huge $22,800 payday, including the $10,000 Melbourne-Adelaide combined event bonus.

More importantly, Hall’s Adelaide masterclass has propelled him into second place in the 2026 PBR Australia National Standings, adding serious heat to the championship race.
Hall now sits on 1,650 points, closing the gap on current leader and reigning Australian Champion Kurt Shephard, who remains at the top of the table with 1,969 points.
It was a night when the bulls largely dominated, with Hall the only rider among the 24-cowboy field to hear the eight-second whistle twice.
Thomas Triplett produced the highest-scoring ride of the event and one of the night’s biggest moments, exploding from the chutes aboard Splintas Man Glitter for a spectacular 89-point score in the Championship Round. The Bungundarra cowboy’s ride propelled him into second place overall with an event aggregate of 89 points. Triplett collected 173 national points and $9,400 in prize money.
Calliope cowboy Ben Bode finished third after winning the opening round with an impressive 85.90-point ride aboard Twist & Shout. Victorian Kelsey Pavlou placed fourth following an 84.50-point effort on Mr Inbetween, while Rockhampton’s Caiden Sandilands completed the top five after covering Coloured Past for 83.70 points.
The bovine athletes again played a starring role, led by Dunne Bulls’ Last Post, which was named the highest-marked bull for a second consecutive weekend. After taking the honour in Melbourne, Last Post backed it up in Adelaide with a powerful 43.70-point bull score.
The sold-out Adelaide Invitational continued a huge run for PBR Australia’s Monster Energy Tour, following another capacity crowd in Melbourne the previous weekend.
The national title race now heads into its decisive stages, with Hall’s Adelaide victory placing him just 319 points behind Shephard and Brazilian cowboy Keny Roger de Oliveira holding third position on 1,500.50 points.
