One Nation wrong to accept the injustice baked into gay marriage

Family First Party 2 mins read

Family First will never stop fighting for the rights of children to be paramount in public policy, National Director and NSW Legislative Council candidate Lyle Shelton said today.

This follows One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson’s reaffirmation of her support for same-sex marriage.

“We've been passed in Australia, in the parliament, to have gay marriage. Now, that's acceptable and I've got no problem with it,” Senator Hanson told News 24 this morning.

Mr Shelton said: “All people should be accepted but that doesn’t mean all public policy ideas should”.

“Same-sex marriage requires children to miss out on the love of either their mother or father to satisfy the lifestyle choices of adults.

“Same-sex marriage campaign leaders like New South Wales politician Alex Greenwich and lobby group Equality Australia are currently pushing for commercial surrogacy to be legalised so gay married men can acquire babies by renting a woman’s womb and purchasing a baby of their specifications.

“This is because marriage is a compound right to found and form a family, but two people of the same gender cannot accomplish this without robbing a child of his or her mother or father.

“This is unethical and unjust, and it goes to the core of why same-sex marriage law was a mistake and must be repealed,” Mr Shelton said.

“Political parties must always put the rights of children first, no matter what cultural fads are prominent.”
