15 September 2026 – Perth, WA | Prairie Lithium (ASX: PL9) has secured a place for its Saskatchewan lithium project in the Canadian Government’s 2026 Canada Investment Summit Prospectus, putting the project in front of global institutional and strategic investors as Canada seeks to accelerate $1 trillion in investment over the next five years.
The Prairie Lithium Project has been selected as one of the investment-ready Canadian projects being showcased at the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on 14–15 September.
Hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney, the summit has been established to connect global institutional investors with Canadian projects capable of supporting domestic investment, economic growth and stronger supply chains.
Prairie Lithium's inclusion gives the company a direct platform to present the project to prospective investors and strategic partners at a time when Canada is seeking greater investment into domestic critical minerals and battery supply chains.
Executive Director Zach Maurer is participating in panel and roundtable discussions during the event, while the company is also holding meetings with strategic and institutional investors to discuss potential investment and partnership opportunities.
The project's selection follows several development milestones that have progressively moved Prairie beyond the conventional exploration-stage lithium story.
According to the company, Prairie is Canada's first and only lithium brine facility approved for commercial-scale production. The project has also received what Prairie describes as North America's largest Direct Lithium Extraction, or DLE, unit and has entered into a strategic offtake agreement with Hydro Lithium.
DLE technology is designed to recover lithium directly from lithium-bearing brines, forming a central part of Prairie's development strategy in Saskatchewan.
The federal prospectus is a curated portfolio of investment-ready Canadian projects being presented to global investors as part of Canada's push to attract long-term capital and strengthen domestic supply chains. The government has set an ambition to accelerate $1 trillion of total investment into Canada over the next five years.
Prairie Lithium Executive Chairman, Paul Lloyd, commented:
“The selection of the Prairie Project for inclusion in the Canada Investment Summit Prospectus is recognition of the significant progress achieved by the Prairie Lithium team and the Project’s strategic relevance to Canada’s emerging lithium and critical minerals supply chain. The Prairie Project has achieved several important milestones, including becoming Canada’s first and only lithium brine facility approved for commercial-scale production, the arrival of North America’s largest Direct Lithium Extraction unit, and the execution of a strategic offtake agreement with Hydro Lithium. The Summit provides Prairie Lithium with an important opportunity to showcase the Prairie Project to a global audience of institutional and strategic investors and to advance discussions around potential investment and strategic partnerships”
Prairie's immediate focus at the summit is therefore investor and strategic engagement, with the company using its inclusion in the federal prospectus, panel participation and scheduled meetings to advance discussions around potential investment and partnerships.
