September 30, 2026

Specsavers is stepping into one of Australia’s best-known Christmas traditions, joining Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight as presenting partner for the first time in 2026.

United by a shared mission and commitment to eye care, Specsavers will help Vision Australia raise vital funds for children who are blind or have low vision, while bringing its distinctive brand identity to the campaign.

The multi-channel campaign will span TV, radio, paid and organic social and OOH, including a new Christmas-themed TVC created with Nine.

It will also build on the creative used by Vision Australia last year, which was recently recognised as a finalist in three categories at the AMI Awards. Media will be led by EssenceMediacom, with creative by Ogilvy.

Specsavers’ Head of Marketing, Awareness and Consideration, Anri McHugh, is excited to be part of the much-cherished Christmas tradition while raising funds for a cause close to the organisation’s heart.

“We’re incredibly proud to be the Presenting Partner of Vision Australia’s 2026 Carols by Candlelight. This partnership brings our purpose of changing lives through better sight and hearing to life, while building on our longstanding relationship with Vision Australia,” said Anri.

“Together, we hope to raise awareness and vital funds for the important services Vision Australia provides to children and families, while bringing a little Specsavers green and some unmistakable Should’ve gone to Specsavers humour to one of Australia’s most-loved Christmas traditions.”

Vision Australia Chief Executive Officer, David Williamson, said this partnership will mark a new era for the Christmas fundraiser.

“With the support of partners like Specsavers, we can raise vital funds for specialist early intervention services for children who are blind or have low vision,” said David.

“These services are not fully covered by government funding, leaving Vision Australia with a significant annual funding gap. Community support through events like Carols by Candlelight is critical to ensuring children can access the specialist supports they need to thrive.”
