VISION AUSTRALIA WELCOMES SPECSAVERS AS CAROLS BY
CANDLELIGHT PRESENTING PARTNER
Vision Australia is teaming up with Specsavers for the first time this festive season to present an unforgettable Carols by Candlelight event.
Joined by a shared mission and commitment to eye care, Specsavers will help Vision Australia raise life-changing funds for children who are blind or have low vision.
Vision Australia Chief Executive Officer, David Williamson, said this partnership will mark a new era for the Christmas fundraiser.
“Like Vision Australia, Specsavers delivers crucial eye care to Australians from all walks of life. With their assistance this year, we hope to have another record-year of funds raised for children and young people who require Vision Australia’s specialised vision services,” said David.
“Funds raised through Carols by Candlelight help us deliver specialist early intervention services that can be life-changing for children and their families. These services are not fully covered by government funding, leaving Vision Australia with a significant annual funding gap to continue delivering these critical supports. Community fundraising is therefore essential to ensuring children can access the specialist services they need to build independence, confidence and skills from an early age.”
Specsavers’ Head of Marketing, Awareness & Consideration, Anri McHugh, is excited to be part of this much-cherished Christmas tradition while raising funds for a cause close to the organisation’s heart.

Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight will take place on Christmas Eve, Thursday December 24 at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. For those wanting to watch at home, the event will be broadcast via Channel 9.
