Elegantly Wasted, choregraphed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa is a bold new contemporary ballet set to the songs of INXS, opening at HOTA from 10 - 12 September, 2026.
Set within the polished anonymity of a luxury hotel lobby, Elegantly Wasted follows a group of impeccably dressed young influencers (drifting in and out of view), curating their lives through performance, projection and validation.

- What: Queensland Ballet performing 2 x sections of Elegantly Wasted. A new production performed to reimagined music by INXS. Elegantly Wasted is a cool, sleek, contemporary 50min work choreographed by Belgian/Columbian choreographer, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, who is bringing the swagger and the emotional charge of INXS into the ballet studio.
Lopez Ochoa created the sell-out hit, Coco Chanel: The Life of a Fashion Icon, and now she takes on one of Australia’s leading rock bands.
