CIMIC Group 2 mins read

CIMIC Group company UGL has secured a further extension with Australian Terminal Operations Management (ATOM) to continue delivering maintenance and asset management services across bp’s fuel terminal network in Australia.

The extension continues UGL's long-standing partnership with ATOM, an incorporated 50:50 joint venture between bp Australia and UGL. Since 2015, UGL has supported the operation of critical fuel infrastructure nationally, providing project and engineering management, asset management, maintenance, project delivery and tank turnaround services across 18 terminals.

CIMIC Group Chief Executive Officer Jason Spears said:

“ATOM is a valued long-term partner, and this extension reflects UGL's proven capability in supporting critical fuel infrastructure across Australia.

“By combining our engineering expertise, asset management capability and on-the-ground delivery, UGL will continue to help ensure this critical energy infrastructure operates safely, reliably and efficiently for communities and industry across Australia.”

UGL Managing Director Sam Goldsmith said:

“This extension is a testament to the dedication of our team and the collaborative partnership we have built with ATOM over the past decade.

“UGL is recognised as a leader in terminal and fuel infrastructure services, and we look forward to continuing to deliver innovative solutions that support our client's operational objectives.”

The contract extension is effective from September 2026.
