TALENT ALERT: Pacific Pre-COP, Fiji and Tuvalu — Pacific and Australian climate and policy experts available

NADI, FIJI, Saturday 3 October 2026 — Greenpeace Australia Pacific has Pacific and Australian experts and spokespeople available in Nadi throughout the Pacific Pre-COP next week who can offer expert insights, analysis and comments on the Pre-COP and road to COP31 in Türkiye.

Shiva Gounden, Head of Pacific at Greenpeace Australia Pacific, can discuss climate and ocean policy, climate finance, Australia-Pacific relations, and offer a Pacific perspective on the pre-COP and road to COP31. 

Moemoana Schwenke, Pacific Climate Campaigner at Greenpeace Australia Pacific, can speak to the Pacific community impacts of climate change, grassroots and community activism, Indigenous and traditional knowledge in responding to environmental change, youth voices and offer a Pacific perspective on the Pre-COP and road to COP31.

 

Dr Simon Bradshaw, COP31 Lead and climate expert at Greenpeace Australia Pacific, can discuss key negotiations and updates related to climate change, fossil fuels, climate finance, climate science, the 1.5°C goal, Australia’s domestic climate policies and actions (including fossil fuel exports), and Australia’s role as COP31 President of Negotiations. 

 

Jasper Inventor, Deputy International Program Director at Greenpeace International, can discuss international climate politics, climate finance, climate impacts, what COP31 must deliver, and expectations of the COP31 Presidency. Jasper is COP31 Head of Delegation for Greenpeace International and based in Manila, Philippines.
