SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, October 29, 2026: Copy Geek, a provider of proprietary trading software for professional traders, today announced it has closed an A$2 million Pre-Seed funding round. The round was led by Dr. David Issa and Mr. Thomas Boga, on behalf of a consortium of prominent Sydney-based private investors. Dr. Issa is a highly respected medical professional with over 20 years of experience in the field and in private investments.

Copy Geek specializes in advanced crypto trading tools, anchored by its proprietary high-performance copy trading engine designed for seamless integration with the world’s top cryptocurrency exchanges. The platform is currently live on Bitfinex, WhiteBIT, Bybit and Hyperliquid.

The engine is built to drive accelerated growth for exchanges. It runs on each exchange’s existing accounts, APIs and order books, so there is nothing for the exchange to build or host, and every trade a follower copies is placed and settled on that exchange. Exchanges gain active, funded traders and new trading volume without the customer acquisition costs that usually come with them.

“A copy-trading engine has one job, which is to copy your trades. Not just the order but also the result. Ours watches every fill and every execution and keeps the follower in sync with the trader, because a trader posting big numbers means nothing if the people following can’t come along for the same ride the trader’s on,” said Chris Ji, founder of Copy Geek.

The fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand engineering teams, and deepen exchange partnerships.

“We are entering an era where cryptocurrency and digital assets will play an undeniably prominent role in the global financial economy,” said Dr. Issa, co-lead investor of the consortium. “Copy Geek has built the exact type of robust, user-centric infrastructure needed to democratize access to these markets. Our consortium is proud to back a team that combines deep trading expertise with an enterprise-ready vision.”

Copy Geek has also benefited from the insights of experienced technology professionals, including Tech Advisor Adrian Tadros, who brings over 20 years of experience spanning global cloud hyperscalers, leading consulting firms, and major financial institutions. His background includes enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale technology transformation.

Tax deadline days away: Chartered Accountants ANZ urges Australians not to rush their return

29 October 2026 With only days remaining until the November 2 tax return deadline, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) is encouraging Australians to take a final check of their income, deductions and records before lodging their return. Taxpayers have until Monday 2 November to lodge their own tax return this year, after the usual 31 October deadline was extended because it falls on a Saturday. Susan Franks, Tax Leader at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, said many Australians risk making avoidable mistakes by rushing to meet the deadline. “Tax time isn't just about meeting a deadline. It's…

One Nation super policy would just make cost of living pressures worse

One Nation’s bid in Parliament today to turn super into an ATM would just drive up inflation, make Australians poorer in retirement, and leave everyone with higher tax bill, the Super Members Council warns. Australians are doing it tough. Mortgage repayments, rents and everyday household costs are putting pressure on family budgets. And that’s why policymakers should reduce people's living costs – instead of telling workers to sacrifice their own retirement savings which just hikes inflation and interest rates. The Council’s modelling shows a typical full-time worker withdrawing a quarter of super contributions for 3 years would be $25,000 poorer…
