AML3D Limited (ASX:AL3) Receives $1.2M Portable Arcemy System Order

AML3D Limited (ASX:AL3) 2 mins read

HIGHLIGHTS

▪ ~AU$1.2 million ARCEMY® small edition ordered for the US Navy’s additive manufacturing Centre of Excellence in Danville, Virginia.
▪ The new ARCEMY® system will be mounted in a shipping container to allow accelerated installation and flexible deployment options.
▪ The ARCEMY® small edition will complement the ARCEMY® X, AML3D’s largest standard system, which is already operational at Danville.

AML3D Limited (ASX:AL3) ("AML3D" or "the Company") is pleased to announce an approximately AU$1.2 million order from Austal USA for a small edition ARCEMY® system (‘ARCEMY® Small’). The ARCEMY® Small will be mounted in a 20-foot (~6 meter) shipping container and delivered to the US Navy’s Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Danville, Virginia, which is run by Austal USA. Pre-mounting the ARCEMY® Small in a shipping container is expected to reduce the field service time to install the system from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 days.

A pre-mounted ARCEMY® Small can be easily deployed to a shop floor or an external pad that has a power supply. This flexibility will allow easy redeployment of the ARCEMY® Small as Austal USA’s additive manufacturing operations at Danville expand and the facility is reconfigured. Delivery of this ARCEMY® Small is expected to take place in about January 2026 with payment made in stages, being 50% up order placement and then the balances upon delivery, testing and commissioning.

This ARCEMY® Small will be used to accelerate technological development and small part manufacturing at Danville. It is also intended for this ARCEMY® Small to be displayed as a precursor to a portable system, which could be used for forward deployment to provide point of need additive manufacturing to multiple branches of the US military.

President & CEO of AML3D USA Inc. Pete Goumas said, “It is very exciting to be continuing building our relationship with Austal USA and our presence at the US Navy’s Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence. Our ARCEMY® Small system, pre-installed in a shipping container, provides the facility with all the benefits of high-quality small part manufacturing, with massively reduced lead times. Just as importantly it demonstrates how portable ARCEMY® systems can be and opens up another potentially significant market opportunity - fully forward, point of need, deployable systems that meet US military specifications.”

AML3D CEO Sean Ebert said: “It was clear during my recent visit to the US that we have only just begun to unlock the huge opportunity for AML3D’s advanced manufacturing technology to support the US military and its wider supply chain. ARCEMY® systems are already being used to support the US Navy’s Maritime Industrial Base across submarines, ship building and munitions. The opportunity to deploy this, highly flexible, ARCEMY® Small pre-mounted solution further broadens the ARCEMY® use cases for the US military and commercial sectors as well as other globally important defense and nondefense markets such as the UK and Australia.”
