The 2nd annual walkathon arranged by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Queensland is being held on 8 September starting at 10AM at Darlington Park, Yarrabilba. 130 participants are expected to take part in the walk along with representatives of the community. In its second year, the annual event is organized by volunteers of the Ahmadiyya Association, with 100% of the raised funds donated to charities. Last year the walk raised over $10,000. These proceeds add up globally and are spent to alleviate need worldwide. Humanity First International recently donated over two millions dollars to hospitals in Seirra Leon as there was pressing need in that country.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association is a worldwide reformist movement in Islam, with millions of followers in over 200 countries. It is acknowledged worldwide for its sincere efforts to establish global peace, and for its work towards charitable causes.
