CareSuper appoints Katrina McPhee as Chief Member Officer to join the member-first executive team 

CareSuper is pleased to welcome Katrina McPhee to its highly skilled, member-focused leadership team. Katrina joins the fund in a pivotal role dedicated to amplifying the voice of members and shaping a retirement experience that delivers even greater confidence and value to the fund’s nearly 600,000 members.

With a strong track record in leading high-performing teams, Katrina will guide the evolution of CareSuper’s member and retirement value proposition—ensuring it continues to reflect the needs, aspirations and expectations of our members. Her leadership will be instrumental in deepening our member focus and enhancing the award-winning experience our members deserve, both to and through retirement.

Katrina has most recently served as Group Executive, Communication and Advocacy, and Chief of Staff to the CEO at Aware Super. During her seven years at Aware (formerly FirstState Super), Katrina played a pivotal role in co-developing their enterprise retirement strategy, helping to shape a more holistic and member-centric approach to retirement outcomes.

Katrina has 23 years of financial services experience, and spent many years in both financial planning and member engagement roles. She’s held senior leadership roles across business development, strategy, transformation and operations across superannuation and funds management with roles at Aware (and predecessor FirstState Super), and VicSuper.

Katrina McPhee will be joining CareSuper on 1 December 2025.
