What: Anglicare Toys ‘n’ Tucker Christmas collection event

Where: Macquarie Room, NSW Parliament House

Interview talent: Simon Miller, Anglicare Sydney CEO & Rob Stokes, Group Executive – Housing.

Details:

Volunteers, alongside Anglicare Sydney leaders, will be collecting and packing food and toy donations at NSW Parliament House as part of Anglicare’s annual Toys ‘n’ Tucker appeal.

Members of Parliament will be visiting the Macquarie Room throughout the day to pack food and toy hampers for people in need.  There will also be a pop-up Anglicare Op Shop operating where Christmas gifts can be purchased.

At a time when families are facing significant cost-of-living pressures, Toys ‘n’ Tucker donations provide a lifeline, ensuring that families have food in the cupboard and gifts under the tree at Christmas time, going some way to relieve the burden and costs families face in the holiday period.

Toys ‘n’ Tucker is also an important reminder to those families who are doing it tough, that there is help available to them.

Simon Miller and Rob Stokes will both be available for interview and commentary.
