Brisbane, AU – Today marks the official launch of www.faceproof.ai, a powerful online identity-verification platform developed by former Australian Federal Police (AFP) officers. Designed to help users regain control over who they connect with online. Faceproof meets the moment as Australia introduces new national social-media age restrictions preventing anyone under 16 from holding accounts on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook and X. Platforms that fail to comply face penalties of up to AUD 50 million.

Faceproof supports these reforms by offering a simple, privacy-centric tool that helps people protect themselves from scams, fraud, impersonation and online predators. Rather than replacing social media, Faceproof acts as a personal shield, giving users the confidence to verify who they are really speaking to.

What Is Faceproof.ai?

Faceproof.ai is an online verification service built by ex-AFP Officers with decades of law-enforcement and cyber-safety experience. Its mission is straightforward: to empower people to confirm that the individual they’re speaking to online is genuinely who they claim to be.

From dating apps and online marketplaces to property rentals, business customer verification and general social interactions, Faceproof.ai provides a fast, secure way to establish trust before engaging further.

How It Works — Step by Step

1. Ask the Question
Visit www.faceproof.ai - Simply register (Only Verified persons will be registered on Faceproof), and begin a verification request. Enter the person’s name, mobile number or email, then send them a secure one-time verification link. The other party chooses whether to proceed,  no secret checks or data scraping.

2. They Complete a Fast Verification
The person uploads their photo ID (government IDs such as a driver’s licence or passports are recommended). The system flags the strength of ID provided. They then take a quick selfie to complete the check. All data is encrypted and protected.

3. You Receive a Clear Result
Results appear in your dashboard:
Verified – Identity confirmed; their selfie remains visible on your dashboard for 48 hours.
Failed – They declined, couldn’t complete the process, or their verification did not match.

4. You Stay in Control
Faceproof.ai does not share personal data. It simply provides clarity so you can decide whether to trust, continue the conversation or step away.

Why Faceproof.ai Matters Now

With the introduction of under-16 social-media restrictions, many Australians will shift to new digital spaces for communication. Unfortunately, this transition also increases opportunities for impersonation and predatory behaviour.

Faceproof.ai offers a real-world, practical solution built on frontline experience. By giving users a simple way to verify who they’re engaging with, it restores confidence in online interactions at a time when digital safety has never been more important.
