A significant highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of an Australian National Flag flown at Parliament House, which will be formally presented to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community by Mr Milton Dick MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives. The flag symbolises national unity, democratic service, and the shared responsibility of all Australians to contribute positively to the nation.

The Australia Day observance will include the hoisting of the national and state flags, the Australian National Anthem, thanksgiving addresses, and prayers for the peace, prosperity, and wellbeing of Australia. The programme will conclude with a community barbecue, mosque tours, and media engagement opportunities.

The event forms part of a coordinated national observance held at Ahmadiyya Muslim mosques across Australia, reflecting the Community’s longstanding commitment to peace, loyalty to one’s country of residence, and constructive participation in Australian civic life, embodied in its motto: “Love for All, Hatred for None.”

Australia Day celebrations will take place on Sunday, 25th January 2026, at Masjid Bait-ul-Masroor Mosque, Stockleigh, QLD. This event provides an opportunity for people to come together, united in their allegiance to Australia.

The Imam of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, Queensland, Mohammad Atae Rabbi Hadi stated:

"As the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, we consistently pray for the peace, prosperity, and advancement of Australia. In accordance with our longstanding tradition, we observe Australia Day at our mosques nationwide, standing in solidarity with our country, its institutions, and our fellow Australians. Our faith teaches us that sincere loyalty and service to one’s country of residence are core moral responsibilities."

This day holds special significance for the Community. To commence the celebration, Bait-ul-Masroor, Stockleigh Mosque will offer prayers for the prosperity of Australia. Members of the Community will also actively participate in broader community celebrations throughout the day.

The Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Caliph, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, has guided Community members in this regard:

"True loyalty requires a relationship built on sincerity and integrity… It is essential for a citizen of any country to establish a relationship of genuine loyalty and faithfulness to their nation. This applies equally, whether one is a born citizen or has gained citizenship later in life."

Act for Kids

Snap the pic, save the memory, skip the overshare this back-to-school time

Families are being encouraged to put child safety first and hit ‘stop’ on oversharing as back-to-school time approaches. Leading child protection organisation Act for Kids warns that the excitement of a new school year often prompts family members to post photos of children on social media - sometimes revealing far more information than they realise. Images that include small details such as a child’s school uniform logo, age or first name can be used by online child sex offenders to build profiles and groom both children and their families. Act for Kids Executive Director Tom McIntyre said the risks have…

MEDIA RELEASE - For immediate release Quotes attributable to Jeremy Leibler, President of the Zionist Federation of Australia "Hizb ut-Tahrir has spent years intentionally promoting extreme forms of antisemitic hatred, while carefully skirting the law. Extremism doesn’t begin with violence, it begins with normalising hatred.” On the Bill set to pass the Senate tonight, he said, “We welcome the bipartisan support for this regime - which rightly allows for dangerous groups like Hizb ut-Tahrir and the National Socialist Network to be banned.”About us: The ZFA is the representative body of the Australian Jewish community and its Zionist organisations.
