Industry leaders of cultural entertainment in virtual reality, Excurio, along with global live-entertainment platform, Fever, are launching the Brisbane debut of Horizon of Khufu, a meticulously researched, free-roaming VR experience to the hidden wonders of Ancient Egypt. Launching at Fever Hub Brisbane on Friday 27th March 2026, the experience takes guests back 4,500 years to the most iconic and historically significant Great Pyramids of Egypt - all without leaving the city.
Led by a virtual guide, visitors will experience Ancient Egypt like never before with exclusive access to the most fascinating aspects - many of which are forbidden to the public in real life.

First launched in Paris in June 2022 and now touring the U.K., U.S., China, and Canada, Horizon of Khufu has captivated over one million visitors worldwide, earning an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. Curated with guidance from Egyptologist and Harvard professor Peter Der Manuelian, the experience offers one of the most authentic representations of Ancient Egyptian history and architecture, using verified data from the Giza Project to meticulously recreate the pyramids and surrounding sites.
Guests enter a shared VR play space, transformed into life-sized avatars. Excurio’s cutting-edge technology enables them to see and interact with other participants, experiencing realistic sensations alongside family and friends during the 45-minute immersive expedition, for a deeply engaging dive into Ancient Egyptian culture.
