Return and Earn is even more convenient in Forster

Forsterresidents have even more locations to recycle their eligible bottles,cansand cartons with the opening of a new Return and Earn machine.   

TheBreese Parade Returnand Earn machine is the15threturn point in theMidCoast Council area,making it easier than everto recycle eligible containers and get your 10c refund.   

The new machine islocatedat8 Breese Parade, Forster.It is open daily from7.00 am to10.00 pm.   

“MidCoast Council residents are enthusiastic recyclers, having returned over 258 million eligible bottles,cansand cartons through local return points since the scheme began,” said James Dorney, CEO of TOMRA Cleanaway, network operator for Return and Earn. 

“Statewide, more than 15.4 billion drink containers have been returned for recycling through the network of over 660 return points across NSW since Return and Earnbegan, resulting in over $1.5 billion in container refunds back in people’s pockets.”     

Thenewmachine features the latest ‘takes-all’ technology, which means all eligible drink containers can be returned throughanyof the machine’s four chutes, without the need to pre-sort glass containers from plastic and aluminium.   

Recyclerscan print a voucher for the refund amount, which can be redeemed atColesfor a discount on their shopping or for cash. Recyclers can also opt for an e-voucher or payment directly into their bank or PayPal account using the Return and Earn app.   

Locals can also donate their refund to one ofover500 donation partners listed on the Return and Earn app, includingGreat Lakes Women’s Shelter, which provides accommodation and support for women seeking refuge from domestic violence or homelessness.

Alternatively, recyclers can donate tothe current statewide donation partner,Jeans for Genes, to supportresearchintotreatments and cures for children’s genetic conditions. 

Return and Earn has become a key fundraising channel for many charities and community groups in NSW.Over$91million has been raised from donations and fees from hosting return points since the scheme launched in 2017.
