HOYTS announces the arrival of

panoramic SCREENX experience at Broadway

HOYTS Cinemas is taking the blockbuster experience beyond the ordinary with the upcoming arrival of SCREENX at HOYTS Broadway. The new auditorium builds on the success of HOYTS’ existing SCREENX cinemas at HOYTS Blacktown and HOYTS Melbourne Central.

SCREENX is the world’s first multi-projection cinema that completely transforms the way guests experience movies. Key scenes expand seamlessly beyond the traditional screen and onto the side walls, creating an immersive 270-degree panoramic experience that places viewers in the heart of the action.

HOYTS Group CEO and President Damian Keogh said Broadway’s position as one of Sydney’s premier inner-city shopping and entertainment destinations makes it the perfect location for the expansion of SCREENX.

“The strong performance of SCREENX at our existing locations demonstrates the growing demand for premium, innovative cinema experiences. Expanding the format to HOYTS Broadway is a natural next step as we continue to invest in elevating the moviegoing experience for our guests,” Damian said.

“Blockbusters are meant to be experienced, not just seen. With panoramic visuals extending beyond the main screen, SCREENX immerses audiences in the story like never before.”

Don Savant, Chief Business Officer & Chief Marketing Officer of CJ 4DPLEX, said SCREENX harnesses advanced multi-projection technology and immersive surround sound to extend the cinematic image beyond the traditional screen, creating a truly panoramic storytelling experience that surrounds the audience.

“As the cinema industry continues to evolve, moviegoers are increasingly seeking premium entertainment experiences that deliver a level of immersion, scale, and emotional impact that simply cannot be replicated at home,” Don said.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with HOYTS to bring this next-generation cinema experience to audiences across Australia.”

As demand for diverse cinema experiences grows, HOYTS continues to lead in premium entertainment. With a highly anticipated slate of blockbuster releases this year, audiences can look forward to even more immersive ways to experience the big screen.
