The Committee for Melbourne Advisory Board is honoured to announce Cath Evans as the new Chief Executive of the Committee for Melbourne and Member Success.
With 25 years’ experience leading large multi-site organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Cath brings her expertise in skilled strategic development, innovation, leadership, and governance to the Victorian Chamber.
Most recently Ms Evans has served as the Executive Director (Victoria) of the Property Council of Australia where she has gained extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, advocacy and organisational transformation.
Combined with her professional background as a lawyer and Director of several boards, Ms Evans is in the best position to lead the Committee for Melbourne and Member Success. She is a passionate leader, who is deeply committed to delivering value for both members and stakeholders.
She will commence the role at the end of October, succeeding outgoing Chief Executive Scott Veenker, who has led the Committee for Melbourne, formerly the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, for six years.
Mr Veenker will be undertaking the new role as the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Chief Growth Officer.
