MEDIA ALERT: Vote where history happened this referendum

Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House < 1 mins read

On Saturday 14 October 2023, the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House (MoAD) will transform into a polling booth, allowing both local and interstate voters to cast their ballots in the iconic King’s Hall.

After casting their vote, visitors can explore the building steeped in Australian history, have a seat in the Senate chamber or take in the contemporary exhibitions. For something a little more intimate, visitors can meet their match in ‘A Blind Date with Democracy’, an experience designed to get you up close and personal with some of the cornerstones of our democratic system.

Open Air PlayUP will also be back in the Senate Courtyard offering families outdoor games and fun in the sunshine (weather dependent). And, of course, visitors can grab that all important democracy sausage while they’re here too.
