Intra Energy Corporation (ASX: IEC) – Lithium Exploration Commences at Yalgarra Project

Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX: IEC) < 1 min read

Highlights:

  • Yalgarra Project review confirms two areas with significant Lithium soil anomalism.
  • Coincident low-level Cesium-Tantalum-Niobium-Beryllium-Tin soil anomalism supports the potential for a proximal “goldilocks” lithium enrichment zone.
  • On-ground exploration scheduled to commence immediately.

Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX: IEC) (“IEC” or the “Company”) is thrilled to announce that a project review of the Yalgarra magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE Project (“Yalgarra”, “Project”) situated 70km east of Kalbarri in Western Australia has unveiled two areas with elevated lithium (+40 ppm) levels. These levels are associated with coincident low-level cesium, tantalum, niobium, beryllium, and tin anomalism.

This anomalism is found within and adjacent to mafic-ultramafic rocks in the northern block of E70/5464 in two specific locations. These locations are adjacent to a radiometrically potassium-rich granitoid. The Company is of the belief that the soil anomalism is indicative of a local fertile granitoid. Furthermore, the combination of coincident LCT pegmatite pathfinder elements suggests a potential for a proximal “goldilocks” lithium enrichment zone.

IEC Principal Geologist, Todd Hibberd, commented: “A detailed review of the soil geochemistry has identified two areas where lithium is elevated with coincident low-level anomalous lithium pathfinder elements. Several outcropping white dykes/vein north of the geochemical samples are visible on satellite imagery and are an immediate target for follow up sampling and mapping with the objective of defining targets for drilling in late 2023”.

‘No more war profits for Big Gas’: Greenpeace backs Government signal on taxing gas corporations

Greenpeace Australia Pacific has welcomed reports that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s department is considering options to tax the profits gas companies are making from the war in the Middle East, praising the move as strong leadership in a time of war, climate disruption and a cost‑of‑living crisis. DavidRitter, Chief Executive Officer at Greenpeace Australia Pacific, said:“The Albanese Government deserves due credit for standing up to gas corporations like Woodside and Santos as Australia faces a cost-of-living crisis, created by dependence on fossil fuels like gas. “For years, rent-seeking gas companies have used every geopolitical shock as an excuse to demand…
