Milford's Business Development Manager Rachael Satchell and Diamond Partners' Managing Director Bridget MacKenzie present a cheque to STEPS Group Australia's Managing Director Carmel Crouch and STEPS Pathways College staff and students.

[Sunshine Coast, Queensland, 26/04/2024] - STEPS Pathways College is thrilled to announce a gift of $4,000 from Diamond Partners and Milford which will facilitate the acquisition of a cutting-edge interactive whiteboard to enhance the learning experience for students.

The interactive whiteboard represents a gateway to a new era of education, fostering immersive and collaborative learning environments. Equipped with advanced features like a built-in camera, real-time saving and sharing functions, this interactive device will lead to a richer and more collaborative learning experience by improving the presentation of learning materials, encouraging participation and fostering engagement, and empowering College teachers to explore new ways to have fun with their students while remaining supportive.

Carmel Crouch, Managing Director of STEPS Group Australia, said she was extremely grateful to accept the donation on behalf of STEPS Pathway College, and was looking forward to seeing the innovative technology in place to help students better achieve their potential.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Diamond Partners for its generosity and vision in supporting us to further enhance our students’ learning and development opportunities,” Ms Crouch said.

“The purchase of the whiteboard will enhance our ability to achieve our mission to provide quality education to all and I can say first-hand that this is an incredibly powerful and enriching outcome for both the students and our community more broadly,” she said.

Milford is a New Zealand investment fund management company with an emerging presence in Australia. Outside of delivering compelling investment solutions, one of Milford’s core beliefs is to support the community, with areas of focus in ‘youth, education, and environment’. Its dedicated annual giving program focuses on assisting Financial Advisers to support Australian charitable and not-for-profit organisations they are passionate about.

Diamond Partners’ Managing Director Bridget MacKenzie said when choosing a local charity to dedicate Milford’s grant towards, choosing STEPS Pathways College was an easy choice as the organisation relies heavily on community donations, and that its mission centres around the same ideals valued by Milford.

"I'm honoured to support organisations like STEPS Pathways College. Every dollar invested in such initiatives counts. It’s a privilege to be part of empowering the students’ journey towards a brighter future."

One of the key advantages of the interactive whiteboard is its ability to accommodate students' varying needs, ensuring that no one is left behind. Even on days when students are unable to attend classes in person due to illness or other reasons, they can seamlessly participate in lessons from the comfort of their own boarding units.

The acquisition and installation of the new interactive whiteboard will be facilitated by a long-term partner of STEPS Group Australia, Ion Business Solutions. Their expertise and commitment to providing modern solutions ensure a smooth transition to this innovative learning platform, maximising its potential for our students and educators alike.

STEPS Pathways College extends its deepest gratitude to Milford and Diamond Partners for its incredible donation and generous support. The interactive whiteboard will be installed as early as next month, much to the excitement and anticipation of all students.
