MONDAY, 8 DECEMBER 2025: HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, has announced immediate support measures for members and employees impacted by the devastating bushfires in communities where a natural disaster has been declared and disaster assistance has been activated, including the Central Coast, Mid North Coast, Upper Hunter, Muswellbrook, Warrumbungle, and Dubbo regions.

Eligible members can access a range of relief options designed to ease financial and emotional pressures, including:

“These bushfires have the potential to deeply impact our members, their loved ones, and the communities they call home. We stand with them during this challenging time,” said Kevin Keane, Chief Operating Officer at HCF.

“At a time when Australians are typically preparing for the festive season and summer holidays, many are instead facing uncertainty and loss. Our focus is on easing that burden by reducing financial pressure, supporting mental health, or ensuring members can access care when they need it most.”

HCF has paid leave for employees who are registered emergency service volunteers, enabling them to continue their vital frontline work without financial burden. Flexible arrangements and wellbeing support are also available for staff personally affected by the bushfires, recognising the impact these events have on our own people as well as the communities we serve.

Members experiencing hardship are encouraged to contact the Member Support team on 13 13 34 or chat with us online at [email protected] to discuss available options.
