Medianet unveils integrated media intelligence platform with new monitoring solution and outreach updates

Medianet 2 mins read

Medianet - Australia’s trusted media intelligence company - has released its media monitoring solution - announced last month - and is now live and available within its platform.

The new solution comes with additional updates to its existing media outreach tools that current clients will start to see over the course of the week.

With the launch of media monitoring, Medianet becomes a full-service platform that integrates media monitoring with analysis, press release distribution and media contacts.

Since its announcement in October the market has responded with overwhelming interest, with hundreds of enquiries seeking information about the new solution.

“The frustration with complicated, expensive and inflated platforms in the market is real. We’ve had interest from a wide spectrum of organisations looking to find a better option”, said Medianet Managing Director, Amrita Sidhu.

Medianet’s expansion into monitoring is expected to challenge the incumbents - all foreign-owned - in a sector with an annual value of more than $100 million.

“We are delivering a cohesive platform for a media world that has become harder to navigate and illuminate,” Ms Sidhu said.

“It will work smart for customers and end the frustrations they have been experiencing for way too long.”

The solution is also expected to be disruptive in terms of price with an attractive subscription model and meaningful discounts for the first set of customers. Free trials for those who have already expressed interest will commence from next week onwards.

The platform is underpinned by the latest technologies available globally, encompassing AI tools, large language models and data science, to rapidly generate metrics tailored to a customer’s requirements.

A part of the user experience will be exemplary customer support, which Ms Sidhu described as a hallmark of Medianet’s professional reputation.

“For all of the technical sophistication of our new platform, we certainly understand the value customers place on human touch,” she said. “We are putting control in customers’ hands but we will also be on the end of the phone if a customer needs it.”

Our Watch

Media alert: Our Watch reminds journalists and editors of the need to report sensitively on the murder of women

Australia’s national violence prevention organisation, Our Watch, is reminding media professionals of the national reporting guidelines when covering the murder of women. It follows a harmful headline in a major newspaper this morning about the murder of a young woman in Melbourne. Our Watch’s national media reporting guidelines highlight the need for the media to not sensationalise such crimes, which only serves to dehumanise the victim and rob her of the dignity and respect she deserves. Such treatment only adds to the distress and trauma of the victim’s loved ones and takes the focus off the perpetrator’s choice to use…
