An evaluation of the legal services set up to support Victoria’s first five specialist family violence courts demonstrates the important role holistic legal assistance plays in addressing gender-based violence in Australia. ADCO FINED FOR CURL CURL CREEK POLLUTION
The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has fined Forest High School contractor ADCO Constructions the maximum penalty of $30,000 for discharging sediment-laden water into the local stormwater system, which flows into Curl Curl Creek. EPA officers inspected the Allambie Heights construction site on 22 June 2024 following complaints from the community, where they observed brown, sediment-laden water running from the premises.
