The Training for Respect project invites all partners, stakeholders, and members of Victoria’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector to take part in Respect and Equality Week 2025 – A Place for Everyone. This is a vital opportunity to champion workplaces and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and inclusive for all.

Running from March 17–28, 2025, Respect and Equality Week is a sector-wide initiative designed to support TAFEs, RTOs, and VET professionals in strengthening their role in preventing workplace gender-based violence. A range of free events, activities, and practical resources are now available to help educators, trainers, and organisations take meaningful action.

Get Involved – Free Events and Resources Now Available

All VET professionals, from senior leaders to frontline trainers, are encouraged to explore the Training for Respect campaign resources and enrol in upcoming free events. These resources and activities will equip education providers with the tools and knowledge needed to foster cultures of respect, safety, and equality in their institutions.

Visit www.trainingforrespect.com/campaign-2025 to access the full suite of materials and register for key events.

Why This Campaign Matters

Workplace gendered violence is a persistent issue in many industries, and the VET sector plays a critical role in shaping safer workplaces for future generations. Under this year's theme, A Place for Everyone, Respect and Equality Week aims to:

  • Raise awareness about the importance of addressing gender-based violence in training environments and workplaces.
  • Provide practical tools and strategies to help educators and industry partners take action.
  • Engage leaders and decision-makers in building a sector-wide commitment to respect and safety.

By participating in Respect and Equality Week, the VET sector can lead by example and demonstrate its dedication to fostering gender equality and workplace safety.

Be Part of the Change

We encourage all RTOs, TAFEs, training providers, and industry professionals to download campaign resources, attend events, and share this initiative within their networks. Together, we can build a culture of respect and equality in the VET sector and beyond.
