Research finds teacher-student relationships key driver for teacher wellbeing

A new Monash University study has analysed the association between positive teacher-student relationships and wellbeing in middle and secondary school teachers. Published in Educational Psychology Review, the paper, titled ‘Associations Between Teacher-Student Relationship Quality and Middle and Secondary School Teachers’Wellbeing: A Systematic Review’, analysed 55 studies and found that positive teacher-student relationships were related to teachers’ sense of wellbeing.
