NEW REGULATIONS START TODAY TO PROTECT WORKERS

Regulations supporting workers’ rights to a psychologically safe and healthy workplace are now in place across Victoria. Deputy Premier and Minister for WorkSafe and the TAC Ben Carroll today announced new Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations 2025 commence today for all Victorian employers. The regulations deliver on the Allan Labor Government’s commitment to protect workers from psychosocial hazards in Victorian workplaces and provide greater clarity for employers on their obligations to identify and control risks associated with psychosocial hazards, just as they do for physical hazards. LICENCE TO SPRAY: EPA KICKS OFF NORTHWEST PESTICIDES CAMPAIGN

NSW pesticide users are being urged to make sure they have the relevant licences and training ahead of a new compliance campaign kicking off in the northwest of the state. As spray season kicks off this summer, the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) will be checking if commercial pesticides applicators are licenced in Moree, Walgett, Narrabri, Brewarrina, Warren, Coonamble, Gilgandra, Gunnedah and surrounding areas. GP ADHD management to boost access and reduce costs for Queenslanders

Queensland’s adult patients living with ADHD will have improved access to care though specialist GPs from today following changes by the Queensland Crisafulli Government. Specialist GPs have been able to diagnose, manage, and prescribe for ADHD for children since 2017 in Queensland, and today’s change makes it the first state to allowspecialist GPs toinitiate, modify, and continue ADHD medication foradults. The Royal Australian College of GPs (RACGP) estimates patients will be able to save between $500–1400 each per year in out-of-pocket costs.
