AVONDALE GROUND AND SURFACE WATER SAMPLING
The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) will be sampling groundwater and surface water on properties East of the Huntley Waste Emplacement, known as the Huntley Landfill, at Avondale next week after testing found leachate could be leaving the site. This follows preliminary surface water sampling conducted by the EPA in September which found elevated levels of ammonia and PFAS in Heritage and Mullet creeks. Students across NSW upskill for an AI workforce of the future
More than 500 students from 134 schools across New South Wales have signed up to complete a week of work placement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and industry partners on artificial intelligence (AI). SUPERCHARGING SOLAR RECYCLING WITH NEW SYDNEY FACILITY
A new solar panel recycling facility has officially opened its doors at Bankstown Airport today as part of the NSW Government’s ongoing commitment to increase recycling and ease pressure on landfills. The new facility by PV Industries is expected to process up to 6,000 tonnes of solar panels per year, with each panel processed in under 90 seconds. Superannuation fees fall again
This marks the sixth consecutive year of falling superannuation fees, according to research from Rainmaker Information’s Superannuation Benchmarking Report. Rainmaker estimates that super fund members, including self-managed super fund members, paid an industry aggregate $34 billion in fees in 2024-25.
