Family First NSW Upper House candidate Lyle Shelton today announced that, if elected, he will introduce legislation to abolish the state’s gender self-identification laws, citing serious concerns for the safety and welfare of women and girls. “Since July, nearly 500 men in NSW have been able to simply sign a form and legally become women,” Mr Shelton said. “This defies common sense, puts women’s sport in jeopardy, and opens female-only spaces to biological males.
