DATE / TIME: Saturday 9 March, 10.15am – 11.00am
LOCATION: Dolphin Court, Bondi Beach
WHAT'S HAPPENING:
For the first time in radio history, rival jocks Nova's Smallzy (Kent Small) and KIIS's Mitch Churi, will go 'hair to hair' as they join forces for the Leukaemia Foundation’s iconic World’s Greatest Shave.
Both Smallzy and Mitch have a personal connection to the cause which has driven them to take part and show their support in 2024.
Smallzy sadly has a friend who was diagnosed with the blood cancer leukaemia in his 30s, with the experience leaving a significant mark on him. Fortunately, his friend is now well and in remission.
Mitch has previously participated in the World’s Greatest Shave in 2011, by shaving off his locks when he was the captain of his school – an experience he recalls was truly memorable and meant a lot to him to support such an important cause.
The radio rivals say they are thrilled to be partnering in this years World’s Greatest Shave with Smallzy set to give Mitch a hair transformation when he colours his hair on the day. Whether Smallzy will undergo a colour of his own is yet to be confirmed, but the challenge is certainly on.
Additionally, both Smallzy and Mitch will be shaving, cutting, and colouring the hair of brave members of the public for a donation on the day, with the hope of raising crucial funds for the Leukaemia Foundation and people living with blood cancer in Australia.
Smallzy, Mitch, and the Leukaemia Foundation invite the public to head along to this fun event at Bondi Beach on Saturday, and participate too by shaving, cutting, or colouring their hair on-site at the dedicated hair stations.
