Today, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon Milton Dick MP has received a letter of resignation from the Hon Sussan Ley.

The Speaker is now considering possible dates for the by-election for the electoral division of Farrer, New South Wales and will make an announcement in due course.

Hepatitis Australia says the Senate inquiry into Australia’s contaminated blood scandal should be an opportunity to strengthen efforts to identify and treat hepatitis C wherever people may be at risk.
