Australian National Maritime Museum < 1 mins read

Set sail for an unforgettable night of music and merriment as the Australian National Maritime Museum bursts to life with the rollicking sounds of sea shanties on Saturday 21 February. After a spectacular sold-out season in 2025, The Great Shanty Off returns with epic shanty groups ready to strut their stuff and sing their collective hearts out.

Enjoy performances from shanty groups from across New South Wales, all ready to lead a mighty chorus of maritime melodies. These groups include:

  • Randy Dandy Shanties (based in Redfern)
  • Forty Degree South (based in Sydney)
  • River Dogs (based in lower Hawkesbury)
  • Kiama Sea Shanty Club (based in Kiama)
  • Shipmates (based in Southern Highlands)

The stage is set on our outdoor performance platform, against the stunning backdrop of Darling Harbour, for audiences to enjoy delicious drinks and bites while immersing themselves in a captivating evening of song and storytelling.
