eSafety begins evaluation of Australia’s world-first social media minimum age
eSafety hascommenceda comprehensive evaluation of Australia’sworld-firstsocial media minimum age to understand how the newobligation on platformsis working in practice—andwhatimpact it is having onchildren, youngpeopleand families. This major study will assess how the minimum age is being implemented, examine bothintendedandunintendedimpacts, and deliver strong, evidence‑based insights to guide future decision‑making.It will also contribute valuable new knowledge tothe globalconversation about childrenand young people andsocialmediaand wellbeing.
