Be Part of the Legend: Council Calls for Partners to Shape the Next Chapter of North Sydney Olympic Pool

North Sydney Council 2 mins read

North Sydney Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from organisations seeking to partner with one of Australia’s most recognisable and loved public places - the North Sydney Olympic Pool.

Set beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge, alongside Luna Park and the city skyline, North Sydney Olympic Pool has been part of Australia’s national story since 1936. It is a place where champions were made, communities gathered and generations of Australians learned to swim.

From world records and Olympic legends to school carnivals, family outings and daily laps, the Pool is woven into the fabric of Australian sporting and community life. Following its transformation into a contemporary, world-class wellbeing destination, North Sydney Olympic Pool is now inviting values-aligned organisations to be part of its next chapter.

“This is a rare opportunity to partner with an Australian legend,” a Council spokesperson said. “We are not looking for logos for the sake of logos. We are looking for partners who understand the power of place and the responsibility that comes with being associated with a nationally significant public asset.”

Sponsorship and partnership opportunities range from program and event partnerships to long-term strategic, legacy and naming rights arrangements. Council encourages proposals which have a strong emphasis on community wellbeing, inclusion, authentic engagement and long-term impact. These are opportunities for partners seeking more than logo placement. Organisations ready to activate, engage and create experiences that have a lasting legacy.

Council is particularly interested in organisations that share the Pool’s values of being friendly, fun and inspiring, while respecting its heritage and enduring place in Australia’s cultural identity.

Organisations seeking to align with an Australian legend and contribute to a place that has shaped generations are encouraged to register their interest via tenderlink, where full details of the EOI process and submission requirements are available.
