Monash University has partnered with ISB Institute to launch global master’s pathway program in Vietnam

Monash University 3 mins read

Monash University’s Monash Business School has officially partnered with ISB International Education Institute, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to launch two elite postgraduate tracks: Master of Management and Master of Global Business.

This premium postgraduate articulation framework offers working professionals an optimised, prestigious pathway to earn a world-class Master’s degree from Monash University – a distinguished member of Australia’s Group of Eight (Go8) and a global Top 50 institution.

The launch and signing agreement were finalised during an official delegation visit to Vietnam by Monash University representatives, led by Professor Carla Wilkin, Academic Board President and Deputy Dean (Accreditation and International) of Monash Business School.

This agreement officially introduces two specialised degree tracks tailored to meet the rigorous demands and ethical standards of the modern corporate landscape.

The Master of Management track focuses on building future-ready managers, and balancing corporate sustainability goals with advanced leadership capabilities to solve complex challenges. Meanwhile, the Master of Global Business track is structured as a highly multidisciplinary program that advances a professional's understanding of how deep economic, political and social forces affect international operations.

This agreement directly translates into unprecedented academic flexibility and broader international horizons for Vietnamese students. With the prestigious addition of Monash University, the PSO Global Program now boasts a powerful network of three world-class international partners, alongside Western Sydney University and the University of Waikato.

This expanding ecosystem provides students with a diverse suite of premium study options, allowing them to customise their global postgraduate journey according to their specific career trajectories and preferences.

Built on an optimised articulation model designed for high-potential individuals, the program enables students to complete their foundational postgraduate study in Vietnam before seamlessly transitioning abroad. Whether choosing Western Sydney University, University of Waikato, or now Monash University, this strategic pathway significantly optimises tuition fees and living costs while ensuring absolute academic continuity and a smooth cultural transition.

Upon successful completion of the Monash pathway, graduates will be awarded an official Master’s degree from Monash Business School.

As Monash stands among the elite 1 per cent of business schools worldwide to hold the coveted "Triple Crown" accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA), this qualification – combined with the preparation in Stage 1 at Vietnam – guarantees a powerful competitive edge and widespread recognition in the global market.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Professor Carla Wilkin said, "We highly value the reputation and vision of ISB Institute in shaping modern management education in Vietnam. The launch of the Master of Management and Master of Global Business pathways marks a convergence of academic excellence that goes beyond traditional classroom learning, allowing students to acquire top-tier global management insights while staying deeply grounded in local business realities. It equips Vietnamese postgraduate students with the robust, practical skill sets needed to confidently address complex operational challenges in global enterprises."

Representatives from ISB Institute emphasised that introducing these global pathways is a testament to the school's ongoing internationalisation efforts.

This strategic partnership opens an exciting new chapter, reinforcing the leadership of ISB Institute in nurturing a global-ready workforce capable of thriving in the competitive international labor market.
