Lewis runs first Sydney Marathon to raise money for heart research

Lewis Reeder to run in memory of his late father who died suddenly from heart disease last year

Bondi Junction resident Lewis Reeder, 31, is running his first marathon this Sunday at the Sydney Marathon to raise funds for the Heart Foundation in memory of his 59-year-old father, Karl, who passed away from sudden heart failure during a bike ride in England on 7 September 2023.

Inspired to honour his father, Lewis decided now was the time to tackle a marathon. Along with seven friends, his team, ‘In Loving Memory of Karl,’ has already raised over $8,000 to support heart research.
